Overview

Create your own reports using any piece of lead data or choose from a pre-made template. The Pivot Reports feature lets you analyze lead information flexibly and dynamically. To get started, navigate to either the Lead List or Distribution screens within the Leads section of the LeadExec navigation menu, and click Pivot to open the pivot grid screen. This guide will demonstrate how to build a report from the Lead List screen.

Key Functionality

Pivot Grid Access

  • Enables pivot grid creation directly from the Lead List or Distribution screens for customizable data analysis.

Pre-Configured and Custom Reports

  • Choose from existing templates or build a report from scratch using available fields.

Drag-and-Drop Field Configuration

  • Assign parameters such as Lead Source to row fields, Date Added – Quarter to column fields, and Cost (Sum) to value fields to generate quarterly cost breakdowns by source.

How to Use This Feature

  1. Open the Pivot Grid

    • Navigate to Leads → Lead List (or Distribution) in the LeadExec menu.

    • Click Pivot to launch the pivot grid interface.

  2. Select Report Type

    • Choose either a pre-made template or start from scratch for full customization.

  3. Configure Your Report

    • From the Field Chooser:

      • Drag Lead Source into the Row area

      • Drag Date Added – Quarter into the Column area

      • Drag Cost (Sum) into the Values area

  4. View Your Pivot Report

    • The grid will now display aggregated lead cost data segmented by source and quarter as specified.

Best Practices

  • Start with a Template
Using a pre-configured report can save time and help you learn layout strategies before customizing.

  • Choose Meaningful Fields
Ensure your selected dimensions (rows, columns) and values (metrics) align with your analysis goals.

  • Save Custom Layouts
Record successful pivot configurations for repeatable reporting efficiency.

Troubleshooting

  • Pivot Button Not Visible
Ensure you're on the Lead List or Distribution screens—Pivot is not available elsewhere.

  • Incorrect Data Display
Double-check that your fields are placed in the correct areas (rows, columns, values) and that aggregations (like Sum) are appropriate.

  • Empty or Unexpected Results
Confirm that data exists for the selected fields and date ranges; consider trying alternate field combinations.
