Notifications Tab: Get Alerted When a Delivery Fails

Use the Notifications tab to create notifications for you or another team member for failed deliveries to the buyer.

Written by Chris Arenas

Overview

The Notifications tab allows you to configure alerts for failed deliveries. By setting up notifications, you or other team members can be promptly informed whenever a delivery to a buyer fails. Notifications can be sent by email, SMS, or both. (SMS charges may apply.)

Every delivery method has this tab: Webhook, SalesExec Integration, FTP, Email, CSV Attachment, Ping Post, Batch Delivery, SMS Notification and Lead Portal.

Key functionality

  • Assign notifications to specific users within your team.

  • Receive alerts via email and/or SMS when a delivery failure occurs.

  • Ensure timely awareness of delivery issues, reducing the risk of missed or delayed follow-ups.

  • Option to enable or disable Send Notification Failure.

Set up failure notifications

  1. Navigate to the Notifications tab.

  2. Select the users who should receive notifications when a delivery fails. Click +Add Recipient and choose team members from the user list.

  3. Choose the notification method:

    • Email: Recommended for all failures (no cost).

    • SMS: Reserve for critical or time-sensitive deliveries. (SMS charges apply per message.)

  4. Check the box for Send Notification Failure to activate alerts.

  5. Click Save.

Best practices

  • Choose recipients deliberately. Assign at least one primary user to receive all failure notifications to avoid gaps in awareness. Consider including:

    • the account manager for the buyer

    • support team members

    • the operations manager

    • team members who can promptly address delivery issues, such as on-call personnel

  • Prefer email. Use email notifications as the default method to minimize SMS costs, and reserve SMS for high-value lead failures.

  • Use dual channels for redundancy. Enable both email and SMS when an alert must not be overlooked due to inbox congestion.

  • Set response expectations. Predefine internal response times to failure alerts so buyers don't notice delays, and establish escalation procedures for repeated failures.

  • Review regularly. Review notification assignments to ensure that the correct team members are receiving updates, and monitor SMS notification volume.

Troubleshooting

  • Not receiving notifications?

    • Ensure the Send Notification Failure option is checked.

    • Confirm the correct user(s) are selected in the tab.

    • Check spam/junk folders for email notifications.

    • Ensure phone numbers are correct for SMS alerts, and confirm that SMS is enabled if chosen.

  • High or unexpected SMS costs?

    • SMS alerts may incur fees. Switch notifications to email-only or limit SMS notifications to critical team members.
