Overview

The ClickPoint Integration Field Mappings feature in LeadExec allows you to map your lead fields to the field names expected by the receiving system. This ensures that the data delivered is correctly interpreted and processed by the client's system.

Key Functionality

  • Field Mapping: Map existing lead fields to the field names your client’s system expects based on their posting documentation.

  • Custom Fields: Add additional fields required by the client, such as a static field denoting if the delivery is in test mode.

  • Enumerated Values: Configure enumerated values for dropdown fields to match the client's expectations.

How to Use This Feature

  1. Navigate to the Field Mappings Tab
In your LeadExec account, go to the ClickPoint Integration section and select the Field Mappings tab.

  2. Import Lead Fields
Click the Import button. This will generate a popup window containing all the lead fields from your lead type. Here, you can map the existing lead fields to the field names your client’s system is expecting.

    • Toggle the Has Value Mappings button to Yes, which will expand the window.

    • Click the Add button to begin mapping your enumerated values.

  6. Save Your Settings
After configuring the field mappings, click Save to apply the settings.

Best Practices

  • Refer to Client Documentation: Always refer to the client's technical documentation to ensure the correct field names and mappings are used.

  • Maintain Consistency: Ensure that the field names in LeadExec match the expected field names in the client's system to prevent data misinterpretation.

  • Test Mappings: Before applying the field mappings to production, test them in a sandbox environment to ensure proper functionality.

Troubleshooting

  • Field Mapping Errors: If errors occur during lead delivery, verify that all required fields are mapped correctly and that the field names match the client's expectations.

  • Missing Fields: If certain fields are missing in the client's system, ensure that they are included in the field mappings and that the field names are correct.

  • Data Formatting Issues: If data appears incorrectly formatted, check the enumerated values and ensure they align with the client's system requirements.
