Understanding the Campaign List Screen

The Campaigns screen helps you organize the Campaigns associated with your Lead Sources

Written by Gabriel Buck

Overview

The Campaigns screen helps you organize and manage the campaigns associated with your Lead Sources from one central interface. From this screen, you can create a new campaign, copy an existing campaign, open campaign settings, access posting instructions, review lead flow, and perform other campaign-related actions.

Key Functionality

Create Campaign

Clicking Create opens the Choose Campaign Setup window, which provides two options:

  • Create New: Build a new campaign step by step using a blank configuration.

  • Copy From Existing: Create a campaign using the settings from an existing campaign.

Copy From Existing

The Copy From Existing option allows you to:

  • Search for an existing campaign by its Campaign UID or campaign name.

  • Select the campaign you want to copy.

  • Enter a name for the new campaign.

  • Choose whether the new campaign should be active immediately.

  • Carry over all settings from the selected campaign to the new campaign.

Open Lead Source

Opens the Lead Source associated with the selected campaign for quick access.

Open Campaign

Opens the selected campaign’s settings, including its quantity limits, lead type, quality options, and other campaign configurations.

Delete Campaign

Permanently removes the selected campaign.

Posting Instructions

Provides the posting documentation required for your internal development team or third-party Lead Source to submit leads to LeadExec.

View Lead Flow

Displays all the steps a lead will go through in the selected campaign before being accepted or rejected. This is a valuable resource for reviewing the campaign’s processing flow and identifying potential configuration issues.

How to Use This Feature

  1. Navigate to the Campaigns Screen

Go to the Campaigns section in LeadExec. The screen displays the campaigns associated with your Lead Sources.

  2. Create a Campaign

Click Create to open the Choose Campaign Setup window.

  3. Choose a Campaign Setup Option

Select one of the following options:

    • Create New: Build a new campaign from a blank configuration.

    • Copy From Existing: Copy the complete configuration of an existing campaign.

  4. Copy an Existing Campaign

If you select Copy From Existing:

    • Search for the campaign using its Campaign UID or campaign name.

    • Select the campaign you want to copy.

    • Enter a name for the new campaign.

    • Choose whether the new campaign should be set to Active immediately.

    • Complete the process to create the campaign with all settings from the selected campaign.

  5. Manage an Existing Campaign

Select a campaign and use the available toolbar options to:

    • Open its associated Lead Source.

    • Open and modify its campaign settings.

    • Delete the campaign.

    • Access its posting instructions.

    • View its lead flow.

  6. Review the Campaign

After creating or copying a campaign, open it and verify its settings. If the campaign was copied, confirm that the transferred settings are appropriate for the new campaign before using it.

Best Practices

  • Verify the Campaign Before Copying

Confirm that you selected the correct source campaign by reviewing its name and Campaign UID.

  • Use a Clear Campaign Name

Give the copied campaign a unique and descriptive name so it can be easily distinguished from the original campaign.

  • Review Copied Settings

Copying a campaign carries over all its settings. Review the new campaign to confirm that its limits, quality options, mappings, and other configurations are correct.

  • Use the Active Setting Carefully

Only set the new campaign to Active immediately if its copied settings have already been reviewed and it is ready to process leads.

  • Use Posting Instructions to Facilitate Integration

Provide the posting documentation to your development team or partners to help ensure leads are submitted correctly.

  • Monitor Lead Flow for Quality Control

Use View Lead Flow to identify processing steps, configuration issues, or potential reasons why leads may be rejected.

Troubleshooting

  • Create Options Are Not Displayed

Confirm that you clicked Create from the Campaigns screen. This should open the Choose Campaign Setup window.

  • Existing Campaign Cannot Be Found

Verify that you entered the correct Campaign UID or campaign name. Also confirm that the campaign still exists and that you have access to it.

  • Copied Campaign Has Unexpected Settings

Confirm that the correct source campaign was selected. Because all settings are carried over, review the copied campaign and update any settings that should not apply to the new campaign.

  • Copied Campaign Is Not Active

Open the campaign and verify its active status. The campaign will only be active immediately if the Active option was selected during the copying process.

  • Toolbar Options Are Not Visible

Confirm that you are on the correct Campaigns screen and that you have the necessary permissions.

  • Campaign Is Missing or Cannot Be Opened

Check whether the campaign was deleted or whether your user account has permission to access it.

  • Lead Flow Is Not Displaying

Confirm that the campaign is correctly configured and active.
