Overview
The SMS Delivery Method sends lead details directly to phones via text messages. Each SMS includes:

Direct link to the lead in your client portal
Perfect for time-sensitive leads requiring immediate attention and on-the-go awareness of new leads

Step-by-Step Setup
Navigate to Delivery Methods → Click Create
Configure Basic Settings:
Description: Try using a short, descriptive name (e.g., "Solar - SMS")
Delivery Type: Select SMS from the dropdown
Lead Type: Choose the appropriate lead type
Environment: Set to Testing initially for validation, remember to always set to Production environment once ready to go live
Click Create → Proceed to Mappings Tab for message formatting
Key Considerations
Character Limits: SMS messages have 160-character limits (plan content accordingly)
Portal Links: Automatic shortening for mobile compatibility
Testing Essential: Always test with team phones before client delivery
Lead Type Lock: Cannot change lead type after creation (choose carefully)

Message Design:
Put most critical info first (name, phone, location)
Use clear abbreviations to save space
Include portal link for full details
Testing Protocol:
Try sending test messages to different carriers to validate proper functionality

Rerview the character count and reduce message length if necessary
