Overview
The Portal Permissions tab defines what elements your buyers can see or interact with in the Client Portal, enhancing control over their experience. You can configure whether to display IVR call details, allow file attachments, or show analytic data such as referrer and search term information.
Every delivery method has this tab, including Webhook, SalesExec Integration, FTP, Email, CSV Attachment, Ping Post, Batch Delivery, SMS Notification and Lead Portal.
Settings
Setting | Function | Buyer benefit |
IVR Call Information | Displays IVR call information when sending IVR leads to the Client Portal. | View call duration and recordings |
Show File Attachments | Allows file attachments associated with leads to be viewed or uploaded in the Client Portal. | View attached documents or supplemental materials |
Show Analytic Data | If using the analytics system, displays the referrer and search term. | Understand lead source context and performance |
Set portal permissions
Open the Portal Permissions tab in your delivery method settings.
IVR Call Information: Check or uncheck the option to control whether buyers can see IVR call details (if applicable).
Show File Attachments: Enable or disable file attachments in the Client Portal.
Show Analytic Data: Turn this on if you want buyers to see analytics such as referring sources or search keywords.
Click Save to update Client Portal visibility settings.
Best practices
Match settings to buyer needs. Offer only the controls your buyer needs:
Enable IVR data for call center buyers who receive IVR calls.
Use file attachments for document-intensive industries (such as mortgage or insurance).
Show analytics for marketing-conscious buyers.
Balance transparency and security. Providing IVR details and analytics can build trust, but ensure sensitive information is appropriately managed. Review file attachments for security risks, and consider data sensitivity when enabling analytics.
Keep the portal fast and uncluttered. Monitor portal load times with enabled features, and disable unused features to declutter your buyer's portal.
Test in the portal. Always verify how changes appear in the Client Portal to ensure clarity and usability.
Troubleshooting
Options not visible: Make sure you're in the correct tab under the configured delivery method.
Changes not reflected in the portal: Confirm you clicked Save after adjusting permissions; refresh the portal if needed.
