Overview

LeadExec is a lead distribution platform that automates capturing, qualifying, and delivering leads through channels like ping-post, HTTP posts, email, and SMS. It’s designed to get the highest-quality leads to your buyers or sales teams efficiently.

The platform includes real-time reporting, live call transfers, automated invoicing, and compliance tools—everything you need to manage leads from start to finish.

If you’re new to this type of software, don’t worry—we've got your back all the way. This guide will help you get up and running in a logical, stress-free way.

Setting Up Your LeadExec Account

Step 1: Set Up Your Lead Types

Start by creating a Lead Type. Think of this as the category or vertical for your leads, like "Mortgage", "Insurance", or "Home Services".

A Lead Type is simply a collection of data fields that define what information you collect for a lead and how it should be routed. You can include phone numbers, drop-down menus, currency fields, and more.

For a detailed walkthrough, visit:

Step 2: Create a Lead Source

Once your Lead Type is ready, you’ll set up where your leads come from by creating a Lead Source.

A Lead Source is the origin of the lead. This could be an affiliate partner, a landing page, a web form, a social media campaign, or any other intake channel where consumers submit their information.

Setting this up is quick; it usually takes about two minutes. Learn how here:

Step 3: Set Up Campaigns

Now it’s time to define what happens when a lead comes in. A Campaign (which you may also know as an offer) controls how leads are stored, qualified, and routed within LeadExec.

You can create campaigns for different intake channels, such as:

  • Web Leads – form submissions from websites

  • Phone Leads – inbound calls via IVR

  • Chat Leads – AI chatbot conversations

  • Ping-Post Leads – real-time submissions from vendors

Step 4: Create Your Client Portfolio

Once a lead passes through your campaign filters, it’s ready to be sent to a buyer. In LeadExec, each buyer is set up as a Client.

A Client account defines who receives leads and includes their contact info, billing details, and access to the Client Portal. You can create as many clients as you need and customize settings for each.

To add your first client, follow the steps here:

Step 5: Create a Delivery Account for Your Client

The Delivery Account is where you set the business rules for sending leads to a specific client. Here you’ll configure pricing, daily/weekly caps, lead criteria, and automation settings.

You’ll typically create this right after adding a client. If you need to add one for an existing client, see:

Step 6: Set Up a Delivery Method

If the Delivery Account is the rules for sending leads, the Delivery Method is the technical how. This is where you set up the actual integration—whether via webhook, email, SMS, ping-post, live transfer, or a combination of these.

You’ll configure the receiving endpoint (like a URL, email, or phone number) and map your lead data so it’s formatted correctly for your client.

To explore all your options, start with:
Adding a New Client Part II – Delivery Methods

Then dive into the specific method you want to use:

  • Webhook – Deliver via HTTP POST, GET, JSON, or XML

  • Ping-Post – Send partial details for real-time bidding

  • Email – Send lead data within an email template

  • SMS Notification – Send lead details via text

  • FTP – Drop a CSV file on an external server

  • Batch Delivery – Send batches of leads on a schedule

  • Lead Portal – Deliver directly to the client’s portal

Wrapping Up: Test Your Setup

Before going live, it’s important to run a test to make sure everything flows smoothly from intake to delivery.

Here’s the easiest way to test:

  1. Send a test lead into LeadExec
You can use your actual lead source, post one using Postman, or add one manually:

    • Go to Lead List in the main menu

    • Click "Add"

    • Fill in the required fields

    • Toggle "Schedule for Delivery" ON if you want it to go through automation, or leave it OFF for manual testing

    • Click "Save"

  2. Send the lead to your client

    • Go to All Leads (located by default in the left-hand menu)

    • Right-click your test lead and choose "Send to Client"

    • Select the intended client

    • After sending, right-click the lead again and choose "View Send Information"

    • A window will show you whether the delivery was successful and provide logs with detailed responses from your client’s system.

Once your test is successful, you're ready to start selling leads to your clients!
